Updated 2024: I STILL LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH! I have lists that go back to 2011 and I still use it for every trip. This app allows both a simple list AND/OR very detailed lists for fellow “list makers”. It’s easy to: • sort • filter • categorize • assign to a bag • assign to a person • mark things to buy • mark priority of items • build/customize master catalog, categories, etc. • and more I use this app even for day trips where I need to make sure I bring certain things. LOVE IT! THANK YOU to the developer! Previous Review: I love this app! Today, as I opened the app to make a new packing list for an upcoming trip, I thought to myself “I really love this app!” I’ve used this the Packing app for well over a two dozen trips. The more you use it, the better it gets as you customize new/reusable lists and categories. Also, I really like how the developer has updated the App with new features instead of abandoning it, like many other App Developers do. Thank you! Love love love!

I’ve used this since the infancy days of the iPhone. Great little app that keeps getting better.

Have lots of lists on iPhone that will not sync with iPad. Also Tried to export and import and not working.

I never go anywhere overnight without using this app, even for one night. The developers have been responsive to my questions. I like that I can make different lists for different kinds of trips. I have a two week trip to Italy coming up and if I lost this app I would truly panic. Thanks.

I've been using this app for years and it is genius. You can use past trips to plan for future trips, so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. very easy to use and intuitive.

I can’t leave home without it. It’s gotten better and better over the years. One of my very first apps. Customer service got back to me with questions I had.

Before the pandemic, we used to travel quite a bit. I tried about a half dozen packing apps before I finally found this one and it is so much better. The master list is fairly complete and it’s very easy to add items as needed. Great app and we look forward to using it more now. Well done!!

I rely on the Packing app for everything from an overnight visit to babysit grandkids, a 10 day camping trip or two weeks in Europe! Over the years I have easily adjusted it to my changing needs. For several years the Packing app has been my faithful traveling companion!

I’ve tried a lot of apps but this one withstands the test of time. I’ve been using it since 2010. It does everything I want and the developers have been wonderful at adding new features over time. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using this app for 8+ years and even the older version were great. The new versions make it even easier to organize and detail packing items. I travel a lot (pre Covid) and the app has saved me many times by making sure I didn’t forget really important items like meds, passports, visa paperwork, etc. Keep up the good work!

It takes a bit of learning but is well worth the time. I used for several years and in 2020 decided to simplify my collection of apps. I upgraded to the Pro features- well worth the small fee. Tried to use Things 3 for packing lists. Came back to Packing in 2021. Much better. It’s working fine on iOS 14. Thanks for a powerful app that lets you customize and syncs well with iCloud. I use seamlessly on iPhone and iPad. A nice surprise - my 2019 data was in iCloud and synced right up. I would happily pay an update fee to keep this app current to Apple standards and iOS versions.

While the app gives you suggested lists, either editing or making your own is easy. I have different packing lists for business travel, short and long trips, camping, a cruise. I love the fact that when it comes time to pack I don’t have to start from scratch each time I pull out the suitcase. I’ve tried other apps but either they are too rigid and not customizable, OR they are more complicated than is needed. I keep going back to this one.

Been using this app for ever! Can’t imagine not having this tool to organize my trip preparation. I’m very OCD, so this app gives me some comfort when planning a vacation, etc. Kudos !!!!!

I have been using this app for many years and just love its versatility. It is very useful to create a comprehensive list for any type of trip. I use it primarily for RV camping trips and you have the ability to customize the Master List to suit you needs. For example I have a category for RV equipment that I want to make sure I don’t forget. The ability to use my customized lists over and over is also really nice.

I’ve been using this app for years now and I totally rely on it. I travel multiple times a year for both work and pleasure and use it every single time. It’s simple and intuitive to use and I’ve never had any problems with it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a packing app. A message for the developer: the one feature I find annoying is that it lists / highlights every item I’ve just selected from my master list as it ‘adds’ them to the current list. Without that mild annoyance it would be five stars.

I travel extensively around the world all year long and need different clothes etc for the climate and weather conditions. This app has saved me time and time again from forgetting crucial items that I found I need after years of experience in the different places. I love the ability to track by suitcase as I travel from light to heavy and when heavy this really helps organize and later find items I have packed.

I’ve been using this app for years and it has never let me down. It’s been on three different phones and is exactly what I need. A simple and straightforward packing list with the ability to customize to all my weird hobby trips.

Hours of work organizing a complex packing system involving 9 bags and 2 people for an aircraft. No app crash. All my organization simply disappeared except for the last four items I entered. Just gone. I want my money back. Other than the data loss it’s a nice looking app.

I have a lot of repetitive trips—3-day work trips, long weekends in FL, my week-long annual Mexican vacation, so having default lists ready to go is a life saver. Love this app.

Another long-overdue review for this indispensable travel app. I’ve used it since 2012 for over 30 trips, so I am very familiar with its operation. While not perfect, it offers the right mix of lists, item categories and other features to help you organize your packing lists so you don’t forget a single thing. I personally find the UI a bit clunky, but that is a minor complaint for an otherwise stellar app.

If you travel regularly, whether for business, pleasure or both, this is an indispensable app! Got originally for a cruise and for the first time I had everything I needed, when I needed it. 2 years later, I'm still using it. Wished it synced automatically between devices, but lists can be exported via email or Dropbox, then opened in another device that has also has the app. Two thumbs way, way up!!

Great for every trip and activity. I use it for travel and to make certain I have everything I need for my dogs when competing at agility events.

I am a long time user of this app. I first started using it around 7 years ago, when I was traveling on business for 3 weeks to China- my longest ever business trip- and wanted to make sure I didn’t forget anything. I have used it for many trips since then- from a weekend away to international travel- and it helps keep me organized! The new feature of being able to copy from one list to another is a welcome addition.

I am terribly picky for apps: I always want them to exactly meet my needs and that requires very flexible and customizable platform. This app has all of it: jus imagine that even in a very short budget I decided to add a small tip! Try it and I’m pretty sure the app has many chances to fit your needs and fulfill your wishes!

I am not organized. Because I struggle to be organized I need tools like this app. Tonight I needed to pack quickly for a family emergency. It is calming to have all my medications, clothing, and computer stuff listed on my IPhone and I can just follow the list. I like that I can keep refining lists. I use this app frequently and have developed a packing list for all types of trips.

The feature I have been waiting for since version 1, sorting lists by date is here! Descending from newest to oldest is great. Just one more request. Have the newest Future Trips always at the top of their list like the past trips. Thanks!

I'm long overdue writing a review for this app; I owe it to the developers. I can't remember what year I started using it but it was before the name changed, and I think it was on my iPhone 3GS! This app is simply a part of my travel routine, every trip, every time. An example of its utility: I take a kayaking trip every summer to the same cabin. This app takes care of every trivial question. ("Is this the place that doesn't provide paper towels—or is it dish soap?") Now I don't have to strain a single brain cell. A week before leaving I open the app and it's all there: I know to pack an extension cord for the second bedroom because the outlet is too far from the bed. We need 6 large, 8 medium and 4 small bungees for the kayaks. The coffee pot uses size-2 basket-style coffee filters. You get the drift. Organized and stress-free! I admit that I'd be screwed if I ever lost my lists but that, thankfully, has never happened to me. I do try to remember to back up my important lists from time to time. An A-plus app, invaluable. Ten thumbs up!

Four years later, I still love this app! Love this app. It makes packing so easy. Never forget anything. No need to write a new list for each trip, just revise a previous list and you're done. I couldn't live without it!

I’ve been using this app for almost five years. I love it, and use it as a checklist every time I travel. There have been many updates over the years, the most extensive was very recent. I like the fact that they are on top of keeping everything up-to-date, while also making so many improvements. I upgraded to Pro, and it was well worth it. Highly recommended if like to be organized, and you don’t want to leave something important behind when you travel.

I have just re-inserted 30 years of travel notes into your very worthy application. It is difficult to praise and flatter an award winner.

Easy to use, comprehensive, including things to do as well as things to pack. Continual improvements that anticipate all the important aspects of travel, which are especially valuable for long trips out of country. Keep up the good work!
